Rachel currently works as a full-time speech-language pathologist in an elementary school. She began her journey as a speech-language pathologist when she was a junior in high school. Rachel was lucky to land a summer position working as a preschool assistant at the Children's Center for Communication/Beverly School for the Deaf in Beverly, MA. There, she experienced the impact that quality and integrated speech and language intervention can have on children, their families and the community. Since then, it has been her passion to support students of all abilities.
In 2013, Rachel earned her master of science at Boston University: Sargent College of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences (Go Terriers!) While studying there, she participated in clinical internships in and around the Boston area:
Center for Children with Special Needs
Floating Hospital for Children at Tuft's Medical Center
Developmental/Behavioral Pediatrics
Brookline Public Schools
Pierce Elementary School
School-based practicum
Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital
Boston Campus
Adult, acute-care rehabilitation
Boston University Aphasia Resource Center
Rachel enjoys traveling, going to the beach, and spending quality time with her family and friends. She is an avid reader!
